Skyline University College (SUC) conducted the intensive “Taxi Drivers’ Training Program”
Training program planned with two modules including 'Basic Arabic' and 'Etiquette for Taxi Drivers'. Dr. Amer Al Kassem, Dr. Kakul Agha, and Dr. Sharon led the sessions. 60 taxi drivers attended the training.
In the basic Arabic session, the taxi drivers learned practical hands-on spoken Arabic so that they could interact with their passengers. The participants were new recruits and hence spoken Arabic is critical for their success as a taxi driver. The second session was on “Etiquettes for Taxi Drivers” which helped them learn appropriate body language, behavior, gestures, facial expressions, mannerisms, and work approach that are required to be successful taxi drivers in Sharjah, as they are the first interface with tourists in the Emirate. Skyline University College is conducting various programs as part of 33rd anniversary celebration.
