SUC Signed MoU with Leyte Normal University, Philippines

Skyline University College has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Leyte Normal University (LNU), Philippines on July 5, 2018. The MoU was signed by SUC Dean, Dr. Mohammad In’airat and LNU University President, Dr. Jude A. Duarte on behalf of their respective organizations. Present to witness the signing ceremony were SUC Deputy Director and Head of Marketing and Creative Communication, Mr. Rakesh Gaur and LNU External Linkages Director, Dr. Marietta B. Manaog.

Philippine Consul General and Leyte Normal University Delegates Visited SUC

Skyline University College welcomed the honorable presence of Philippine Consulate General of Dubai Consul General, H.E. Paul Raymond Cortes along with the delegates from Leyte Normal University, Philippines headed by the University President, Dr. Jude A Duarte on July 3, 2018 at SUC Campus. 

Meeting with Oracle at SUC

A meeting was conducted between Skyline University College Head of Academics-School of IT, Dr. Deepak Kalra and Oracle Digital Territory Manager, Ms. Evgenia Zaytseva to discuss the possible integration of Oracle courses into the BSIT curriculum at SUC. The BSIT students who will successfully complete the course will obtain an Oracle Certificate.

IATA Orientation

An orientation and a campus tour for the new batch of IATA Foundation in Travel and Tourism at Skyline University was organized during the first day of class on July 1, 2018 at SUC campus. Centre for Continuing Learning (CCL) and English Language Centre (ELC) Manager, Mr. Alex Wait along with CCL Assistant, Mr. Roel Pulangco introduced Skyline to the newly-joined students through a presentation. The IATA course will run from July 1, 2018-August 31, 2018.

One Day Course in Dealing With and Managing Difficult Stakeholders

Skyline University College has welcomed 24 participants from Nigeria for the One Day Course in Dealing With and Managing Difficult Stakeholders on June 27, 2018 at SUC Campus.

The resource speakers of the program were SUC Head of Academics-School of Business, Dr. Ajith Kumar; Head of Academics-School of Information Technology, Dr. Deepak Kalra; and Professor, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya. During their respective sessions, the speakers covered the topics of Stakeholders Requirements and Basic Concepts of Attitude, Personality, and Perception; Conflict Management and Strategies in Handling Difficult Stakeholders; and Role of Emerging Technologies and Social Media.

At the end of the program, each participant was awarded with a certificate for successfully completing the course.

DFM Workshop

Following the visit to Dubai Financial Market organized by Skyline University College for the students of Delhi Private School, SUC Professor, Dr. Nizar Sahawneh has also conducted a DFM Workshop on June 25, 2018 at SUC Campus. The DFM Workshop aimed to further expand the students’ knowledge on financial markets and give them an in-depth understanding on investments, stock markets, and trading among others. After the workshop, the students along with their teachers took a quick Skyline campus tour.

Republic TV Gulf Indian Leadership Summit and Awards

Skyline International Group Chairman and Skyline University College Founder President, Mr. Kamal Puri was one of the recipients of the prestigious Inspirational Gulf Indian Business Leader Award at the reputable assembly of the finest and inspiring Indian business leaders in the Gulf region, Republic TV Gulf Indian Leadership Summit and Awards on June 24, 2018 at Grand Hyatt Dubai. 

DFM Visit

A visit to Dubai Financial Market was organized by Skyline University College on June 24, 2018 for the Grade 12 students of Delhi Private School, Sharjah to understand how the financial market operates and how shares are traded among others. The visit was part of the DFM Workshop being conducted by SUC Professor, Dr. Nizar Sahawneh today, June 25, 2018 at SUC Campus.

SUC Signed an Agreement with SCTDA

Skyline University College has signed an agreement with Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority as the official Tour Guide Training Program provider for Sharjah tour guides. The agreement was signed by SCTDA Chairman, Mr. Khalid Jasim Al Midfa and SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, Mr. Nitin Anand. The pilot run of the proposed program was conducted on June 20, 2018 at the SCTDA Office.

Meeting with Consul General of the Republic of Lebanon, H.E. Assaf Doumit

A meeting was held between Consul General of the Republic of Lebanon, H.E. Assaf Doumit and Skyline University College Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, Mr. Nitin Anand along with Deputy Director for Marketing and Creative Communications, Mr. Rakesh Gaur on June 20, 2018 at the Consulate General of Lebanon Office in Dubai. The COEC introduced Skyline to the Consul General and further proposed a scholarship grant for the professional advancement of the Lebanese community in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, both parties have also discussed the possibility of joint initiatives in terms of events, sports activities, trainings, and workshops.

MoU with National Service and Reserve Authority

Skyline University College signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Service and Reserve Authority on June 7, 2018 in Abu Dhabi. His Excellency Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of National Service and Reserve Authority and SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, Mr. Nitin Anand signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Present to witness the signing ceremony was Deputy Director for Public Relations, Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa.
