Skyline University College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAMA American Private School. The MoU was signed by Mr. Hassan Sabbah, Director General of SAMA American Private School, and Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa, SUC Deputy Director for Government Relations.
The MoU highlights the scholarships Skyline will give to the students of SAMA American Private School so they can pursue their higher education. It also includes the placement and internship opportunities at Skyline, career guidance workshops for the students, as well as workshops for the teachers and staff.
In achieving its goal of providing quality education, Skyline University College has established strategic partnerships with private and government sectors. It strengthens its relationships with these sectors through MoU (Memorandum of Understanding).
In line with this, Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa, Deputy Director for Government Relations, met with H.E Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, in Abu Dhabi on May 12, 2019 to discuss the allocation of scholarship fund for the employees of the Ministry of Interior to support them in pursuing their higher education and to explore other areas of collaboration between Skyline and the Ministry of Interior.
For academic institutions, establishing partnerships with various organizations is necessary to improve research and innovate teaching methodologies. Skyline University College reaches out to local and international organizations for possible collaborations that could enhance the learning experience Skyline can give to students.
Recently, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya, SUC’s Director for Outreach and Accreditation, invited Dr. Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall, Consultant for UN WTO (Valletta – Malta) and Director to the Board of the International Federation of Travel and Tourism Advocates (IFTTA), to discuss Tourism Laws in the UAE and explore areas for cooperation. Dr. Ajith Kumar - Head of Academics, School of Business and Dr. Mohit Vij - Associate Professor also attended the meeting. Skyline presented Dr. Tanti-Dougall a plaque of appreciation.
Dr. Tanti-Dougall is in the UAE on an invitation of the Economics Department of the Government of UAE to draft Tourism Laws for the UAE Federation. She is meeting experts and tourism management organizations of all Emirates as part of her consultancy project for the UAE Federal Government.

The signing was witnessed by Vice Principal, Dr. Hisham Dawood and SUC Assistant Manager for Business Development, Mr. Bilal Banat.
The MoU not only highlights the scholarships Skyline will give to the students of Sharjah International Private School so they can pursue their higher education but also career guidance workshops for the students and also workshops for the staff & teachers as per need analysis.at SUC. Through this partnership, SUC also seeks to provide placement and internship opportunities to the students.
One of the goals of Skyline University is to “give the world Graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the global workplace.” Hence, Skyline faculty members cultivate the spirit of entrepreneurship in students, encourage them to think out of the box, and guide them in their journey to become future job-generators. The university motivates students at every step of the way in their journey to become entrepreneurs by encouraging them to do research works, providing them industry exposures, and assisting them in the conceptualization of startups.
On the 29th of April 2019, during the 7th Undergraduate Research Competition conducted by Abu Dhabi University, Abu Dhabi, three BBA students of Skyline University College presented their research papers in “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Category.” These research papers were among the 240 plus shortlisted papers from a total of 750 plus research papers received from all GCC countries.
Ms. Sadaf Mayet, who is taking a BBA program at SUC, presented the paper titled “Investigating the variables that influence developing women entrepreneurship – Empirical evidence from UAE.” She was mentored by faculty members Dr. A. M. Sakkthivel and Dr. Ramakrishna Yanamandra.
Ms. Abida Rahman and Ms. Seema Bashir of the BBA Program presented the research paper titled “Snaptrack – Online Maps.” She was mentored by Dr. Haitham Alzoubi and Dr. Kakul Agha.
Both papers were well received by a distinguished panel of judges and all the other participants from various universities in the GCC countries. The students and mentors received certificates from Abu Dhabi University.

SUC faculty members encourage the students to challenge themselves by participating in various competitions to equip them with knowledge and skills that could help them excel in the business world.
Today, BBA Financial Management students mentored by Dr. Nizar Sahawnesh received awards for the Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) Stock Game Competition. Nuha Ahmed Mohammed Bin Faisalalshehhi bagged the 1st prize and Yousif Moahmmed Abdel Al Rahman Mubarak Al Hammadi won the 3rd prize. Skyline University was declared the Best Educational Institute - Most number of winners amongst the 30 participating universities.

Skyline University College (SUC) establishes cooperation in research, education, and culture between educators and students in the UAE and Bulgaria. This was made official in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Skyline and Varna University of Management (VUM), which happened on March 20, 2019, at SUC campus.
SUC Dean, Prof. Mohammad In’airat and VUM’s Vice-Rector (Research) Prof. Stanislav Ivanov signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
The MoU highlights the future collaborative projects between the two universities in the field of research and conferences, boot camps, and faculty and student exchange programs, among others.

This partnership was made official on March 18, 2019 when Mr. Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer of Jacky’s Group of Companies, and Mr. Nitin Anand, Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council of Skyline University College, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Skyline campus.

Mr. Kamal Puri, the Chairman of Skyline International Group Limited and the Founder President of Skyline University College, has received the India Club's Chairman's Appreciation Award 2019, a special award for Indian leaders who have contributed to the Indian community in the UAE through hard work, perseverance, and vision.
This award was given to Mr. Puri by the Chairman of India Club, Mr. Vasu Shroff, on March 13, 2019, at the India Club, Dubai, as a recognition of his good work in the development of education, and in encouraging creative and independent thoughts in students.
During the awarding ceremony, the Consul General of India, H. E. Vipul, commended Mr. Kamal Puri for his passion in education and his persistent pursuit of innovation.
The National Executive Committee of the Emirate of Sharjah for the Special Needs Olympics 2019 and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services awarded a plaque of appreciation to Skyline University College for taking part in one of the world’s largest sports and humanitarian events this year, the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019. Mr. Nitin Anand, SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council and Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa, Deputy Director for Government Relations received the award from H.E. Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Human Resource Department, on March 10, 2019.
Skyline, through its Services Committee, organized an interactive day for 150 participants of the Special Olympics on March 11, in which students prepared song and dance performances for the Special Olympics participants.
Skyline University College entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Refreshment (P.J.S.C) on March 10, 2019, in Dubai. Mr. Tarek El Sakka, the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Refreshment (P.J.S.C) and Mr. Nitin Anand, SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, signed the MoU. The MoU highlights the scholarship fund allocated by SUC to enable Dubai Refreshment’s employees and their families to pursue higher education and identify training opportunities for the employees of Dubai Refreshments to further enhance their workplace skills which will result in higher productivity.
