A good teacher is one whom a student remembers and values forever.
Teachers have enduring impact and influence on the lives of their students, and the greatest teachers inspire students to greatness. To be successful, a great teacher must have a particular set of skills.
A teacher should engage with students well and grab their attention during discussions. Teachers should establish clear objectives for every lesson and help with meeting those objectives during classes. Effective discipline skills can promote positive behaviors and change in the classroom. A teacher's good classroom management skills can ensure excellent student behavior, effective study habits, and an overall sense of respect in the classroom. Teachers should encourage everyone to do their best as they see the potential in each student. Moreover, teachers should have a thorough knowledge of the University's curriculum. They ensure their methods of teaching meet the standards. This seems obvious but is sometimes overlooked. They must also have knowledge of and great enthusiasm for the subject matter they are teaching and should be prepared to answer questions and keep the material interesting for the students. They should feel the excitement of influencing students' lives and they should understand the impact they have on them.
Good grades, a positive attitude, and hard work are qualities of good students, but they can be better students if they have inspiring teachers. They will come to class regularly and pay attention to the teacher.
A senior student once said that good students do what they can for their teachers, family, and friends. The priority of good students should be to do the best in the university and have a well-balanced academics and social life. For students to succeed and accomplish their goals, they need to have the right encouragement from their teachers.
