Abstract

This study relied on a quantitative approach and used a questionnaire to gather data on elements of tacit knowl- edge in the university environment. The results revealed that promoting values such as peace education and respect are fundamental to the development of tacit knowledge. Additionally, it was observed that the importance of collaboration and organizational wisdom in generating tacit knowledge, as well as the relevance of teachers' technical skills, are significant factors. In conclusion, there is a need to establish channels to adequately identify tacit intangible assets in universities. It has also been suggested that a knowledge management unit can be highly useful for this purpose. It is emphasized that developing capabilities for the externalization of knowledge is essen- tial to fully harness the potential of tacit knowledge in the university environment.
