Celebrate World Water Day 2016 with Skyline University College - “Better Water, better jobs”
World Water Day is an international observance and an opportunity to learn more about water related issues. Today, Almost half of the world's 1.5 billion workers are working in water related sectors and nearly all jobs depend on water and those that ensure its safe delivery. Yet millions of water workers are not recognized or protected by basic labour rights. Therefore, the United Nations theme for this year "Better Water, Better Jobs" is focusing on how enough quantity and quality of water can change workers' lives and livelihoods - and even transform societies and economies. We at Skyline University College takes up its moral responsibility to create awareness about water related issues and solutions by celebrating World Water Day in association with SHUROOQ (Sharjah Investment & Development Authority)..
The SUC's event in support of World water Day has been a huge success in the last five years from its inception in 2012, drawing attention from media for its impact on general public especially youth and children who found a new way of learning about water usage through participating in this event.
We take this opportunity yet again and invite one and all to participate in the event .Be inspired to tell others and take action to make a difference. Get ready for yet another interesting evening at Al Qasba!
