SUC Conducted SCTDA Tour Guide Training Program

The training covered various topics that could further enhance the tourist guides’ knowledge and skills to help them find their way to success in the field of tourism and also to encourage sustainable tourism in Sharjah. The topics include the UAE’s history and leaders, culture, economy, tourist attractions in the emirate of Sharjah, happiness and stress management, reputation management, and first aid training. The students were also taken to several tourist spots of Sharjah for a more immersive training. The program was concluded with a presentation exam to assess the participants’ learning performance.

The resource speakers for the duration of the training were Professor and Director of Outreach and Accreditation, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya; Associate Professor and Director of Student Services, Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh; Associate Professor, Dr. Mohit Vij; Assistant Professor, Dr. Kakul Agha; and Associate Professor, Dr. Riktesh Srivastava.
