MAINTENANCE

 

NTRODUCTION:

The Maintenance & Security Department of SUC is managed by the Head Finance with the technical support of maintenance supervisor. The department is focused in supporting the mission of SUC by ensuring maintenance of all the SUC assets, hostel, building environment control, basketball court and in addition responding to SUC's emergency maintenance for smooth operations and ensuring security and safety of all students, faculty and staff members within the premises. The department coordinates with external service providers in maintaining activities such as servicing of the fire alarms, pest control, campus lighting and emergency services. The department works to extend the facilities of University assets with preventive and corrective maintenance. The department plays an important role in promoting and maintaining the building premises, equipment's and safety and security systems for a safe and healthy working environment.

​The Maintenance department also manages the allocation of duties to office boys and security in the premises including the hostel. Department also enters into contracts with External Service Providers and maintain proper systems in asset management.

The Maintenance Department is responsible for the conditions of all facilities in the SUC. Services are divided in three categories:

 

    • Physical Plant Services
    • Office Equipment Services
    • Third party Maintenance

 

 The Maintenance department looks into the purchase of the materials, issuance of store materials, assist the departments in smoothly organizing the events and important functions and archiving of the physical files for all the departments and housekeeping services.

Procurements are done through the requisitioning systems which are forwarded to the Maintenance department. The Maintenance department gets the necessary approval before purchasing the required items.
