Skyline Students’ Interactive Workshop at INJAZ, UAE

Fifty-three Skyline students participated in the interactive workshop conducted by INJAZ in Dubai recently. The students were given exercised-based activities on entrepreneurship and a lecture on building a successful startup.  The Skyline team was welcomed by Ms. Razan, the CEO of INJAZ, UAE. Mr. Sajeev Srivastav, CEO of International Marbles LLC (who is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, USA), along with the volunteers from Goldman Sachs, Dubai Office, mentored the students.

At the end of the workshop, the students learned some tips on how to work under pressure, identify opportunities, pitch, and prepare a business plan.

Skyline University College regularly organizes industry visits and workshops to better prepare students for the professional world.

Guest Lecture - How Technology Creates Impact on the Tourism Industry

Our faculty members invite guest speakers from various industries so students can get hands on practical skills,  knowledge, and viewpoints that can help them excel in the professional world. 

Recently, Skyline faculty member, Dr. Mohit Vij invited Mr. Zaim Muhammad, Joint Business Partner of Travel Counsellors, LLC, to give a lecture to his class on tourism and hospitality. Mr. Muhammad discussed how technology creates impact on the tourism industry and gave insights on future employment opportunities. In his talk, he advised students to get the most out of their university years and find meaningful internships so they can obtain better career opportunities after graduation.

Skyline University College Staff Picnic 2019

Employee engagement is one of the keys for a company to achieve company goals. In line with this, the Skyline management regularly organizes events and activities for staff to have time to relax, have fun, and enjoy the spirit of friendship.

The Skyline family spent relaxing days by the sea during the Staff Picnic 2019 which was held from March 27 to March 28 at InterContinental Fujairah Resort. SUC HR Department organized fun games for the employees as well as for their families. There were Tambola games for the staff and dancing competition for the kids. The winners of SUC’s Fitness Challenge were also announced with the 1st prize winner, Mr. Anish Joy from the IR and QA Department, receiving an international trip for two and the runners up winning fitness equipment, gadgets and vouchers as consolation prizes. The employees held a celebration for the March birthday celebrants. They also enjoyed dancing.

SUC HR Department is grateful for all the energetic participation of the faculty, staff, and their respective families.

Leadership Development

Recently, Skyline University College (SUC) conducted a one-day workshop on the following areas: Leadership Development - Accelerating the Careers of High Potential Leaders, Perception Strategy - Perception to Opportunity, and Block Chain Technologies - Business Innovation and Application.

Professionals from the government, academic institutions, and the corporate environment participated in the workshop conducted by Dr. Deepak Kalra, Head of Academics - School of IT; Dr. Ajith Kumar, Head of Academics - School of Business; and Ms. Salin Amanda Louis, Lead Perception Strategist.

Through workshops like this, Skyline University College further enhances the knowledge and develop the skills of professionals so they can successfully adapt to the changing demands of life and work.

Organization Behavior Seminar

Skyline’s goal is to enhance industry engagement and improve the students’ experience. To achieve it, faculty members invite leaders and influencers from various industries to give seminars and workshops.

Dr. Sharon Mendoza Dreisbach and Dr. Peter Dr. Petr Svoboda invited industry leaders to their class for an Organization Behavior seminar:  Dr. Catherine Baird, Senior Vice President Cabin Crew Training, Emirates Airlines; Dr. Donatella Tosi, Psychologist and CEO of her own Educational Consultancy Company at Dubai Creative Cluster Authority; Mr. Faisal Bin Sanad Al Shami, Director, Strategic Planning and Business Development Labour Standards Development Authority, Government of Sharjah; and Dr. Wafa Qasimieh, Senior Executive Culture Consultant, IACAD, Government of Dubai.

The guest speakers talked about the role of leadership in managing culture for employee engagement and productivity. They also gave tips on how to handle stress in a diverse and multicultural workplace.

SUC organized a celebration of UN World Water Day

To raise awareness about the importance of water and also bring to light the water crisis in some parts of the world, Skyline University College (SUC) organized a celebration of UN World Water Day on March 21, 2019 at Al Majaz Park, Event Area, Sharjah.


SUC organized various activities such as poster design, recycling craft, water rationing exercise/water animation, and skit competitions. One of the highlights of the event was when kids pledged to conserve water by making every drop count.


Keeping in mind this year's theme “Leaving No One Behind,” let's all unite to conserve water and promote sustainable consumption of the earth's resources to prevent water scarcity and other environmental crises.

World Water Day Poster Design Competition

Join Skyline University College for the World Water Day 2019 celebration at Al Majaz Park, Event Area today at 4:00PM. Skyline has organized events in line this year’s theme “Leaving No One Behind.” Earlier, our judges reviewed all entries for the poster design competition. Skyline Organizes the 4th Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament

The 4th Skyline Corporate Cup T20 Cricket Tournament has just started and will run until April 19, 2019 at SUC cricket grounds. This year’s edition is composed of eight teams namely: Nielsen Company, Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, Gulf International, Thumbay Group, OMA Emirates, Emirates Driving Institute, Brothers Gas, and National Bank of Fujairah. In the inaugural match, Oma Emirates won against Hamriyah Freezone by 55 runs.

We’re inviting everyone to witness the next match at 7:30PM on March 23 between the Oma Emirates and Brothers Gas.

Skyline is an Education Partner at Fazaa’s 2019 Happiness Day Event

According to the World Happiness Report for 2018, the UAE holds the first place for the fourth consecutive years in the Happiness index of the Arab world. Its global ranking is 20th among 156 countries. This does not come as a surprise given that the UAE has strategic activities to sustain the happiness of locals and expatriates. One of these activities is the 2019 Happiness Day Event for the employees of the Ministry of Interior.   It is organized by Fazaa, a subsidiary of the Social Security Fund, and is being held at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre from March 18 to March 20, 2019. Skyline University College (SUC) supports this event as an education partner. Skyline awards scholarships in both undergraduate and graduate categories to Fazaa card-holders.

On the first day of event, Mr. Bilal Banat, Assistant Manager for Business Development for Skyline, met with Major General Salim Ali Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Nasser Khadem Al Kaabi, Director General of Happiness at the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raise, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior and introduce the programs of SUC.

SUC Organizes Health and Wellness Seminar for Students

Skyline University faculty members do more than help students excel academically. They also make an effort in organizing Health and Wellness seminars to encourage students to improve and maintain their health so they can be more productive in their studies.

Earlier today, Dr. Wilson Gachiri, in partnership with Thumbay Hospital, organized a free blood pressure and blood sugar checkup. Students also learned about heart diseases and ways to prevent them through a seminar conducted by Dr. Jayakumar, an Internal Medicine Specialist at Thumbay Hospital.
