This Year of Tolerance, Skyline University , through its Services Committee headed by Dr. Taleb Eli, organized an Iftar for Sharjah laborers. The laborers along with SUC students, faculty, and staff shared a hearty meal. The employees and students also distributed goodie bags to the laborers.
Employees and students of Skyline from diverse nationality and religion worked together to organize the event, reflecting the values emphasized by the UAE government in the Year of Tolerance. Annually, Skyline organizes Iftar as part of its CSR initiatives.
In the spirit of Ramadan and as part of its CSR initiatives, Skyline University College is organizing its annual Iftar for laborers this evening. Skyline Services Committee, headed by Dr. Taleb Eli, are now preparing the goodie bags from students, faculty, and staff for this evening’s event.
To enhance students’ abilities and skills, and to prepare them for the professional world, the faculty of Skyline University Colleges lets students organize activities and seminars. Recently, the students taking Human Resource Management course under Dr. Mona Sinha were given an opportunity to organize an HR seminar.
The activities commenced with an inspirational talk delivered by the Head of Academics for the School of Business, Dr. Ajith Kumar. Faculty members Ms. Owen Sanchez and Dr. Hesham Sheikh shared their insights, knowledge, and first-hand experiences in Re-Engineering Approach on Human Resource Management. The students also learned the trends and the latest news about HR and how it becomes a strategic partner to any business. Dr. Sharon Mendoza guided the students throughout the seminar.
According to the students, they learned a lot from the seminar. “It was a very great experience for us and we got to learn much during this seminar and a big thank you to our professors and to Skyline University College for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to organize an event,” says Skyliner Abida.
To drive employee engagement and build workplace camaraderie, SUC’s Human Resource Department (HRD) organizes the weekly Happy Hour Activity.
Today, HRD held a volleyball match for faculty members and staff.

Skyline University College (SUC), in collaboration with the University City of Sharjah, celebrated Labour Day with Sharjah labourers on May 1st, 2019. HH Khalid Bity al Hajiri, the Director of the University City of Sharjah, graced the event. Sharjah laborers took the day off and gathered at SUC ground to play cricket. SUC and the University City of Sharjah management prepared activities, snacks, and gifts for the workers as a gesture of appreciation for their grit, dedication, and hard work.
Skyline Dean, Prof. Mohammad In’airat, in his welcome address emphasized the valuable roles of the labourers in economic development and sustainability. “The building of the nation lies on the shoulders of the workers,” according to Dean In’airat. HH Khalid Bity al Hajiri presented a plaque of appreciation to SUC for its effort in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
SUC established partnerships with the government and corporates for the yearly celebration of Labour Day. The annual celebration is organized by the Services Committee headed by Dr. Taleb Eli with the aim.
Skyline University College, in collaboration with The Young Vision magazine, organized the 2nd Inter-School Coding Challenge on April 24, 2019, at SUC Campus. The competition, which served as a platform for young talent to showcase their skills in the field of software development, has registered more than 255 participants from 26 schools in the UAE.
The first prize was bagged by Kayva Chopra from JSS International School, Dubai; Mohammed Kaif from Our Own English High School (Boys) was declared second prize winner, and Krish Nair from Ambassador School came in third.

To promote entrepreneurship and innovation, training students to be business leaders, and connecting students with the industry, Skyline Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (SEIC) organizes the annual Business Plan Competition.
26 teams of Skyline students presented their innovative ideas and judges from various industries were invited to evaluate each project. The event enables students to develop their understanding and ability to conceive a start-up.
With the goal of improving students’ public speaking skills and boosting their confidence, Skyline Toastmasters Club organizes regular meetings. This week, the members gave speeches on “Brain Food” with the Executive Assistant to the Dean, Ms. Raquel Tabirara, as the Toastmaster of the day.
Skyline University College encourages its students, in both undergraduate and graduate programs, to actively participate in Toastmasters Club meetings so they can practice speaking in front of an audience and hone their leadership skills as well.

Skyline University College (SUC) celebrated the Global Day on April 16, 2019 at SUC campus with various activities showcasing the rich cultures of the world: cultural performances, fashion shows, and stalls showcasing traditional items and cuisines.
H.H. Sheikh Khalid Bin Humaid AlQassimi, Chairman of the Board Directors of the Emirates Creative Society, and H.E. Mr. Abdul Samad Afghan, Consul General of Afghanistan to Dubai, graced the event.
The Global Day is an annual event organized by SUC’s Events Department to inculcate a culture of respect and tolerance in the campus.

The Skyline University College Appreciation Night is all about recognizing the achievements of students in both the academic and non-academic fields.
It is a night where Skyline faculty and staff honors the hard work and the dedication of Skyliners in their studies and co-curricular activities.
On April 14th, 2019, students, faculty and staff gathered at the Common Room for the awarding of certificates of recognition for the Academic (Dean’s List) achievers and students who made a difference in the university.

Skyline University College celebrated the “World Book Day” on 15 April 2019 with various thrilling and thought-provoking activities such as Word Challenge and Book Quiz where winners were given exciting prizes. The Library Department also launched the SUC Book Club, which aims to enhance the involvement of SUC Community in library activities and create reading awareness.
