The Innovation Course students under the class of Skyline University College Assistant Professor Dr. Kakul Agha welcomed AYM Managing Director Mr. Paul Kenny today, December 18, 2017, at SUC campus. Mr. Kenny discussed this year’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) competition to the students who appeared enthusiastic about the participation and the mentorship they will receive from Mr. Paul.

Skyline University College Corporate Affairs Office headed by Mr. Pawan Bhatia organized a Recruitment and Placement Drive with Oman Insurance on December 14, 2017 at SUC Campus. Oman Insurance Human Resources Manager, Ms. Diana Mcmurray conducted the interview and shortlisted 8 applicants who are qualified for the second and final interview.
As part of the Professional Skill Development Program (PSDP) of SUC, Associate Professor, Dr. Mohit Vij; Assistant Professor, Dr. Kakul Agha; and Assistant Professor, Dr. Ajith Kumar conducted a mock interview and a briefing to prepare the students for the actual interview. The faculty members gave a lecture on the proper way of answering interview questions and the relevant answers that employers are looking for as well as the attitude that they have to portray.

The SUC Corporate Affairs Office (CAO) is responsible for building long term relationships with corporate establishments for the purpose of integrating the academics and industry for mutual benefit including placements and internships, Guest Lecture and Technical Visits, Scholarships for company employees, and participation in MDPs and Conferences. It enters into agreements in the form of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the companies to explore possibilities of collaboration in the fields of enriching the curriculum, providing industrial inputs to the students, training for industry professionals, participating in panel discussions and community development. It also engages in identifying the industrial training needs and knowledge, skills and competencies expected from the students ready for employment market.
The Corporate Affairs Office also engages with the universities worldwide by signing MoUs and Articulation Agreements to promote cooperation in various activities like faculty and students exchange program, community engagement, international internship, collaborative researches, program reviews, and conferences.
Skyline University College Centre for Continuing Learning (CCL) conducted a certificate distribution ceremony to IATA Foundation in Travel and Tourism students who have successfully completed the program on December 12, 2017, at SUC Multi-Purpose Hall. SUC Head of Quality Assurance Dr. Sudhakar Kota, Head of Academics-School of Business Dr. Mohammad Hasan Saleh Inairat, and Head of Student Services Department Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh were present to lead the certificate distribution.

More than 80 school counselors from the UAE graced the Let’s Talk: 4th Counselor and HOD Meet on November 8, 2017 organized by Skyline University College and The Young Vision magazine. SUC Dean Dr. Amitabh Upadhya formally welcomed all participants followed by the opening remarks by SUC Founder President Mr. Kamal Puri.
Keynote speakers of this year’s Let’s Talk were, Dr. Deepak Kalra, SUC School of IT Head of Academics and Mr. Moustafa Hamwi, Passionpreneur and Chief Energy Officer and Award-Winning Author and Speaker. Dr. Deepak conducted an informative talk about Internet of Things (IoT) while Mr. Moustafa engaged the participants in a motivational workshop on Passion Talks: The Secret Ingredient to Successful Work and Fulfilling Life.
Let’s Talk workshop is a joint initiative of SUC and TYV with the aim to bring together in one place educators and counselors in the country to gain insights and inspiration and to advance their knowledge and acquire relevant strategies in dealing with students.
Today at Skyline, we have witnessed and heard an inspirational talk from a renowned American author, lifestyle expert and motivational speaker, Jasmine Brett Stringer. Jasmine is the author of, “Seize Your Life: How to Carpe Diem Every Day”—a book full of lessons, helpful tips on life improvement, and stories that will surely inspire readers to lead a better life.
SUC Library Department headed by Mr. Sheik Maideen organized the “Author Meet and Greet” at SUC Multi-Purpose Hall with the full support of SUC Dean Dr. Amitabh Upadhya, Head of Quality Assurance Dr. Sudhakar Kota, Head of Academics Dr. Mohammad Hasan Saleh Inairat, Head Student Services Affairs Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh, and Associate Professor Dr. Riktesh Srivastava along with the SUC community of students, faculty, and staff. A book signing and author interview by students followed thereafter.
