​Skyline University College organized a Dubai Financial Market Workshop to 94 students of Our Own English School, Sharjah on April 19, 2017 at SUC campus. Speakers of the workshop were Dr. Robinson Joseph, Dr. Mahesh Agnihotri, and Dr. Manuel Fernandez who discussed about the Introduction to Investments, Stock Market and Trading and Portfolio Adjustments respectively.

The 2-day Skyline Book Fair 2017 organized by SUC Library Department headed by Mr. Sheik Maideen has successfully attracted more than 300 book lovers and students from different schools in UAE and 85 students of which have participated in the Young Poetry Writing Competition and Story Writing Competition on April 18-19, 2017!

The 3rd Inter-university Business Plan and New Idea Competition organized by the Skyline Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club (SEIC), Skyline University College (SUC), Sharjah concluded with new set of winners. The SEIC 3rd Annual Business Plan and New Idea Competition was supported by Dubai technology entrepreneur Centre (Dtec), Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) and The Hair Crafters Company LLC. The official sponsors of the event were Octagon as a Venture Capital Firm and Cool and Cool UAE with a special focus on the Marketing Pitch category.

Students at Skyline University College have a unique advantage of Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP) - a methodical way of developing soft skills amongst these budding business professionals. Under PSDP, a series of workshops are organized by our dedicated faculty members on pertinent issues, while assessing individual performance for further action. Recently, Dr. Victoria Verna, Head of English Language Center (ELC) organized one such workshop on “Team Working Skills” at the university premises. “It’s learning with fun while attending such workshops. I always eagerly look forward to attending PSDP workshops,” said Heba, a freshman student.

 The Management of Human Resources class of Dr. Sharon M. Dreisbach and Dr. Hassan Al – Dhaafri conducted a seminar on Recruitment and Selection yesterday, March 19, 2017. The resource speakers of the Guest Lecture were Mr. Ammar Bin Tamim. Mr. Ammar, Director of Driver Recruitment of Road Transportation Authority Dubai and Ms. Afnan Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Ali, Assistant Manager of Inspection Department and Complaint Department of the Ministry of Human Resource and Emiratization. Mr. Ammar shared his 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, specializing in Driver Recruitment and over the years, he recruited more than 30,000 drivers in the UAE. Meanwhile, Ms. Afnan discussed the Labor Law: Compensation and Employees Benefits where students learned a lot about the policies of the government.

 ​SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Ajith Kumar conducted a Guest Lecture session for the BBA senior students of Strategic Management course on February 19, 2017. Guest Lecture speaker, Ms. Safiya‎ Al Matrooshi, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Union Arab Bank addressed the topic of Strategy Formulation and Implementation in an Organization. Ms. Safiya had a good interactive discussion with the students as she answered all questions and finally gave a motivational speech for them to aim higher in life.

​Another Guest Lecture session was conducted for the MBA students currently taking up International Business under the class of SUC Associate Professor, Dr. Anil Roy Dubey yesterday, February 20, 2017. Dr. Anil Dubey has invited the owner of Options Shipping Services LLC, Mr. Ali W. Zaid as the speaker to discuss the “Overview of Shipping Industry and the Role of Freight Forwarder in the International Business.”
